In the cultural currents that connect Europe and America, songs of love, loss, and landscapes flow like waves across the Atlantic. British pianist Jack Tyndale-Biscoe and American mezzo-soprano Rachel Youngberg Payne build a musical bridge across the ocean through their sensitive interpretations of European and American art songs.
Featuring works by Elgar, Vaughan Williams, Britten, Barber, Copland and classic, lesser-known European compositions. Their music blends European traditions with innovative impulses, creating a modern language uniquely their own.
Duo Atlantis explores the interplay between tradition and renewal. From celebrated masterpieces to hidden musical treasures, the program offers a rich and inspiring listening experience that opens up new perspectives and brings the beauty of classical music to life.
“I really felt something special. You don’t feel that anymore. They are a really special duo.”
